TT 2024: Paton dominates Supertwin class
Every June, the Isle of Man is transformed into a sanctuary for motorbike enthusiasts, attracting riders and fans from all over the world to witness one of motorcycling’s toughest and most dangerous competitions: the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT).
In 2024, the Supertwin class saw an absolute domination of Moto Paton led by Michael Dunlop, marking an important chapter in the history of this legendary race.
Supertwin races in 2024
The Supertwin class, reserved for medium-sized two-cylinder motorbikes, is one of the most fascinating at the TT. The level of competition is extremely high. Supertwin races demand a combination of speed, precision and endurance, testing both the skills of the riders and the quality of the bikes.
In the TT 2024, Michael Dunlop won both races in the Supertwin category, riding his trusty Paton S1-R. The first race saw Dunlop make a strong start and maintain an incredibly fast pace, immediately putting a significant distance between himself and his pursuers. This incredible triumph, the 27th of his career, allowed him to achieve a historic result: to break the record of victories held by his uncle Joey for twenty-four years.
The second race was just as spectacular, with Dunlop once again demonstrating his dominance on the Paton, masterfully navigating his way through the most challenging sections of the course.
The value of victory
Michael Dunlop’s victories in the Supertwin category of the 2024 TT not only further cement his status as a TT legend, but also highlight Paton’s excellence as a race bike. These successes celebrate the partnership between an exceptional rider and an extraordinary machine, reminding all motorcycling fans of the magic and danger of the Isle of Man TT.
Moto Paton: quality without compromises
The 2024 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy will be remembered for many reasons, but the outstanding performance of Paton and Michael Dunlop in the Supertwin class will certainly be among the most memorable moments. This triumph reinforces the Dunlop legend and celebrates the uncompromising quality of Paton motorbikes, writing a new chapter in the history of this incredible competition class.
